Abstract
This study is based on the Entrepreneurship Theory to analyze the factors affecting the entrepreneurial spirit of female entrepreneurs in Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. The research model is built with six main factors: opportunity perception, cognitive capacity, risk perception, family support, informal investment experience and social network. Survey data collected from 312 female entrepreneurs were analyzed to test the research hypotheses. The results show that opportunity perception, family support, informal investment experience and social network have positive impacts on entrepreneurial spirit, while cognitive capacity and risk perception have negative impacts. The study contributes to expanding the understanding of the factors promoting entrepreneurial spirit of female entrepreneurs in the specific socio-economic context of Vietnam, thereby supporting the development of policies to promote sustainable entrepreneurship for women.
