Abstract
Social capital and sustainable agriculture have increasingly received attention. Research on the relationship between this capital type and sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship (SAE) has not been conducted much. Some scholars have also believed that there is a need for added studies using specific context-based, reliable quantitative approaches to help policymakers choose and implement appropriate sustainable development strategies. Therefore, this study investigated the role of one of the important social capital types – i.e., structural social capital (SSC) in promoting SAE intention under the lens of resource-based theory (RBV). The study used a quantitative method and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results clarify the influence of SSC in promoting SAE with the mediating role of the components of the theory of planned behavior (TPB). The findings provide an in-depth understanding of the literature and some managerial implications for developing the SAE community.
