Abstract
Economic cooperation and cooperatives were born objectively. The cooperative plays a very important role in the development of the rural economy, especially with the aim of improving social security, and ensuring the welfare of the people. Stemming from the characteristics of agriculture and rural areas in the northern midland and mountainous provinces, the research focuses on the development scale, the structure of industries and activities; the advantages and major production of cooperatives in the Region. Besides, the article studies the situation of chain of production and the performance efficiency of the cooperatives. The authors used the method of statistical analysis and comparison to analyze the secondary data collected from the statistical yearbook; seminor; report we point out the difficulties and shortcomings and propose some recommendations to develop cooperatives in the new context of the economy, especially in the period of industrial revolution 4.0
