Abstract

The study focuses on the current status of tourist behavior in Bac Ninh province, clarifying the communication behaviors and attitudes of tourists. The survey results show that the average score of tourists’ civilized behavior is above 3.8 (on a scale of 5), indicating that the satisfaction of managers and educators is quite good. Most tourists show a civilized attitude, respect the rules and are responsible in tourism activities. Community education has had a positive impact, helping tourists become more aware of personal responsibility in their behavior. The community assessed that some tourist behaviors such as lining up in order and getting enough food still had a lower average score (3.89 – 3.94), showing that there are still cases of inconsistent civilized behavior. The number of “Undecided” responses accounted for a high proportion across many indicators, especially regarding compliance with regulations and queuing, reflecting inconsistencies in tourists’ awareness and behavior. Some tourists have not been adequately informed about the rules and codes of conduct at destinations or when using public services. The study proposes strengthening community education on tourism behavior, developing a code of conduct for tourists, and enhancing monitoring and enforcement measures, aiming toward sustainable tourism development.
