Abstract
This study investigates the factors influencing work stress among employees in commercial banks. Data were collected quantitatively through a questionnaire distributed both directly and online. A total of 150 valid responses were used for analysis. The findings reveal five primary sources of work stress: relationships with colleagues, relationships with supervisors, income, promotion training, and work design. Middle-aged employees with over 10 years of experience and earnings between 7 to 20 million VND report experiencing higher levels of stress compared to other demographics. Nevertheless, the overall stress levels among these employees remain relatively low. To alleviate work stress, banks should implement reasonable salary and bonus policies, enhance collective activities to foster internal cohesion, and create a comfortable work environment.
