Abstract
Using the results of a survey of 272 cooperative leaders in Thai Nguyen province, the study has analyzed the current status of cooperative operations as well as their assessments of the orientation, policies, and development support activities of Thai Nguyen province. The research results have shown that cooperatives in Thai Nguyen province have grown strongly in quantity in recent years, but lacked a comprehensive improvement in quality. Thai Nguyen province has made lots of efforts to support the development of cooperatives in terms of policies, credit, training, science and technology transfers, as well as trade promotion. However, the management process still has many shortcomings that need to be overcome. The study also proposes 05 important solutions to support cooperatives to develop comprehensively in the coming time.
