Abstract
The article summarizes the situation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) attraction in nearly 30 years since the first FDI project in Thai Nguyen province (in 1993), evaluates its contributions from the FDI sector to the economy of Thai Nguyen province (GRDP growth, science and technology transfer, job creation, improvement of labor productivity, export value, development of supporting industries…), points out limitations and causes. The writer has recommended severall suggestions to enhance the attraction and effective use of FDI into Thai Nguyen in the new context.
