Abstract
Up to now, social protection work has become one of the important parts of our country’s social security policy, contributing to supporting disadvantaged groups in society to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and integrate into the community. The article uses the method of analysis and synthesis; Survey method by questionnaire and In-depth interview; and Observational method to collect primary and secondary data. Research results show that the state management of social protection in Song Cong city, Thai Nguyen province in the period 2017-2022 achieved some results, but still revealed many limitations such as human resources are lacking and weak; Developing, promulgating and organizing the implementation of legal documents on social protection still lacks initiative; Propagating and disseminating policies on social protection is not effective but formal; management is not really tight; Inspection and examination activities are still heavily formal and loose; The coordination between levels and sectors in the implementation of policies is still not effective.Accordingly, the article has proposed solutions to enhance the effectiveness of state management of social protection in Song Cong City, Thai Nguyen province in the near future.
