QUALITY OF WORK LIFE IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL AND JOB PERFORMANCE A CASE STUDY OF UNIVERSITY LECTURERS, VIETNAM

Abstract
This study aims to verify the mediating role of quality of work life (QWL) in the relationship between psychological capital (CAP) and job performance (JP). The study uses a mixed method in which focus group aims to adjust the scale and structural model analysis (SEM) to test the hypotheses in the model. Data for the study was a convenience sample with 380 observations collected from lecturers from universities in Vietnam. Research results show that all the hypotheses in the model are statistically significant. Specifically, QWL plays a mediating role in the relationship between psychological capital (CAP) and job performance (JP). Finally, based on the results, the author provides implications for organizations in Vietnam. Specifically, organizations should establish an appropriate human resource management system that enhances QWL.
