Abstract
This study has applied the basic concepts of job satisfaction and work engagement along with previous research results in analyzing and evaluating the factors affecting job satisfaction and work engagement. Based on a survey sample from 343 jobholders at medical centers in Ho Chi Minh City, the authors combine basic analyses in quantitative research such as statistics, reliability assessment of Cronbach’s alpha, factor analysis EFA & CFA, SEM model, using SPSS and AMOS software. The research results show that: (1) Nature of work, Training and development, Relationship with colleagues and leaders, Salary, bonus and welfare policies have positive impacts on job satisfaction and (2) Job satisfaction has a positive impact on work engagement of jobholders at medical centers in Ho Chi Minh city.
