Abstract
Human resources are an important factor in the operation and maintenance of organizations in general and travel businesses in particular, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic emerges with direct consequences for the tourism sector. The study uses a combination of methods including synthesis, statistics, and quantitative survey to analyze the current situation and propose some solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the travel business at Hanoi Tourist Corporation. Research results have shown that, in order to improve the quality of human resources, it is necessary to continue improving further in the following areas: recruitment; skills training programs; professional qualifications; assigning and using human resources; salary, and bonus structures, and social welfare policies.
