Abstract
Basing on an overview of the current situation of attracting FDI into Vietnam before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, the article evaluates the role of FDI in the Vietnam’s economy (contributing to economic growth and state budget revenue, improving export value, job creation, improving the quality of human resources, creating technology spillover effects, improving the business investment environment, etc); indicates some limitations of FDI enterprises and points out opportunities and challenges for attracting FDI into Vietnam in the context of COVID-19. Thereby, the writer proposes some solutions to effectively attract FDI inflows into Vietnam in the new context.
