Tác giả: Võ Thị Phương Nhung; Số trang: 7

Abstract
In Vietnam, sustainable forestry development is considered a central solution for national sustainable development. Accordingly, Vietnam has put the goal of sustainable forestry development into the long-term development strategy of the forestry sector. Recently, Vietnam has gained remarkable achievements in sustainable forestry development on three angles including economy, society, and environment. However, the development process has faced several difficulties and obstacles. Studying theories and practical experiences of neighboring countries helps Vietnam to draw policy implications for developing forestry sustainably. This paper used a combination of literature review and case study methods to clarify trends and views on sustainable forestry development; it also studies the experiences of China, Malaysia, and Indonesia to draw policy implications for Vietnam.
