Abstract
Civil servants have a particularly important role in the management, organization and administration of socio-economic and cultural development and propaganda for people to enforce the Party’s orientations and the State’s laws. Thai Nguyen city is a cultural, political and economic center of Thai Nguyen province. In the past years, the Party Committee and the municipal government have paid much attention to the development of civil servants, however, the results were not as expected. Addressing the situation, this article focuses on: 1) Clarifying current status of the quality of civil servants in Thai Nguyen city and 2) Proposing some orientations and policies to improve the quality of civil servants in Thai Nguyen city until 2020.
