Abstracts
The study used a set of data from the Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey 2002 – 2014 (VHLSS) investigated and published by the General Statistics Office. We applied regression analysis with variables like rural-urban income inequality, foreign direct investment, trade openness, state budget, urbanization rate, etc. at provincial level during this period. The results show that there are many factors affecting rural-urban income inequality, in which foreign direct investment (FDI) negatively impacts rural-urban income inequality.
