Abstract
Marine economy is a part of the national economy, making an important contribution to the national economic development strategy. During the revolutionary leadership process, the Communist Party of Vietnam is increasingly aware of the important role of the marine economy in the overall economy of the country, associated with protecting national sovereignty, especially the period of comprehensive renovation of the country. To systematically generalize the Party’s position on marine economic development in the renovation period, the article analyzed the Party’s views on marine economic development through a number of resolutions. On that basis, the article also mentioned some solutions for sustainable development of marine economy in Vietnam during the period of accelerating industrialization, modernization and international integration today.
