Abstract
This study examines the factors influencing customers’ trust in digital banking and Fintech adoption at commercial banks in Da Nang, Vietnam. The study employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative phase involved discussions with experts to refine the measurement scales and research model to better fit the study context. Quantitative data were collected from 517 customers who had conducted transactions with commercial banks in Da Nang and analyzed using Cronbach’s alpha reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that cybersecurity awareness (AN), facilitating conditions (HT), personal innovativeness (DM), and access to finance (TC) have positive effects on trust in digital banking (NT). In turn, trust in digital banking positively influences Fintech adoption. Based on these findings, the study provides managerial implications for strengthening customers’ trust in digital banking and promoting Fintech adoption, with particular emphasis on improving access to financial services, enhancing facilitating conditions, fostering innovation, and increasing customers’ cybersecurity awareness.
