Abstract
Bac Kan is a mountainous province with many advantages in agriculture and forestry development. However, the results of agricultural and forestry production are still low; productivity, quality and value added are not high, and the development is unstable. One of the most important forces for agricultural and forestry development is enterprises operating in this field because only the enterprises can create the connection, and the pull for the development of agricultural and forestry production in the province. With this approach, the study used secondary data combined with surveying, and interviewing several owners of agricultural and forestry enterprises in Bac Kan to research. The results show that the number of businesses investing in agriculture and forestry sector in the province is still small. The scale of capital and labor force of enterprises is small and super small. Businesses have to deal with difficulties such as access to capital, market, and land. For these reasons, the paper proposed solutions to increase the number and scale of this business type in Bac Kan in the coming years.
