Abstract
Household economics is a common factor of economic development in many countries around the world. It is transforming itself into an economic component of society, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of a country. Lao Cai is a northern province with a high proportion of households in the economic structure of the province. Within this study, we conducted an analysis from the survey on households’ economic indicators in eight districts of Lao Cai province in 2016. Policy recommendation is proposed for sustainable development of rural household economy in Lao Cai in particular and in the northern mountainous provinces in Vietnam in general.
