Abstract
Over the past years, the Party and State have deployed many policies and intiatives to create jobs, including economic development activities for ethnic labor throughout the country in general and in Lang Son province in particular. This paper reviews the economic development activities in Lang Son province through primary and secondary data sources combined with descriptive statistical methods and comparative analysis methods. The research results show the constraints in economic development activities in Trang Dinh Commune are due to many reasons such as the slow economic restructuring, the low quality of employees and policy takers, as well as ineffective vocational training. The study also identifies a number of key measures to address the constrants and foster socio-economic growth of Quoc Khanh commune including promoting labor export, enhancing economic restructuring, lending support capital and vocational training together with improving basic infrastructure.
