Abstract
This paper reviews studies on tourists’ willingness to pay (WTP) for ecotourism associated with biodiversity conservation to systematize influencing factors and optimal valuation methods. Based on an analysis of 34 domestic and international empirical studies, the research identifies five key groups of influencing factors and a methodological shift from Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to Choice Experiments (CE). The study proposes an integrated model and recommends that future research prioritize CE combined with Random Parameter Logit (RPL) and Latent Class Models (LCM) to deeply analyze diverse tourist preferences. These findings contribute to guiding sustainable tourism development policies in developing countries like Vietnam.
