Abstract
The objective of the study is to identify factors influencing the decision to choose a university at the University of Transport and Communications in Ho Chi Minh City (UTC2). The study was conducted through a survey of 375 students of class 65 (first year) at UTC2. According to research findings, there are five categories of elements that influence the decision to choose a university of Branch students, including: the characteristics of the university; financial situation; personal capacity; communication of university and influence of those around you, where personal capacity has the biggest influence. Based on empirical results, the author proposes some key solutions to help the Branch to attract students and improve the effectiveness of recruitment in the coming time.
