Abstract
The study aims to find out the factors affecting smart city development. The study used descriptive analysis, exploratory factors analysis, correlation and linear regression models to process survey data of 321 residents in Hanoi city. The findings revealed 6 factors that impact the processing of the smart city development, from strong to weak, as follows: smart economy, smart government, smart environment, smart traffic, smart residents and smart life. The research results are crucial for proposing useful solutions to the smart city development of Hanoi in the coming time.
