Abstract
Green credit plays an important role in providing the necessary capital to achieve the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, especially issues related to the environment and climate. The article focuses on researching the current status of green credit in Vietnam in the period 2019 – 2023, analyzing the difficulties that commercial banks as well as businesses encounter in the process of accessing green credit, such as: The legal system for green credit is not yet complete, bank staff have not been professionally trained about green credit risk management, and green credit products lack diversity, etc. From the research results, the article offers some solutions to develop green credit in Vietnam in the coming time.
