Abstract
The research focuses on the group growing purple Ba Kich, representing the communes of Ba Che district with the largest area of purple Ba Kich. The research collects secondary information through published documents and primary information through participatory rapid assessment surveys, uses descriptive statistics and comparisons to clarify the proposed research objectives. The district’s area of purple Ba Kich tends to increase gradually over the years, the average growth rate from 2020 to now is 37.75%/year. After harvesting, households choose to distribute mainly through wholesalers (37.78%) and collectors (35.56%), the rest are retailers and through processing factories. The group of households with an area of over 2 hectares has a production value of 244.51 million VND/ha, higher than the group of households with an area of 1-2 hectares and <1ha. The results also show that the factors affecting the development of the purple ba kich tree model include the lack of capital (100%), poor transportation (93.33%), few policies to support people (91.11%), and a number of other factors such as lack of labor, little production land, lack of seeds… In the coming time, the locality has oriented development of medicinal plants with specific solutions to develop raw material areas, scientific and technological advances, management and labor quality to ensure the development of medicinal plant areas, including Ba Kich towards sustainability until 2030.
