Abstract
This research analyzes and evaluates the factors affecting knowledge sharing with the aim of finding out the causes leading to limitations in knowledge sharing and proposing implications for increasing knowledge sharing activities among officials and employees of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City.;thereby, creating the spread of knowledge, increasing the solidarity of individuals, contributing to a strong and sustainable collective, meeting the increasing requirements for development of the society. Based on a survey of 187 officials at the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City and the Centers under the department, the authors combined the analyzes in the quantitative research like Statistical analysis, Cronbach’s alpha reliability assessment, EFA & CFA analyses. Research results show 04 factors affecting knowledge sharing behavior among officials at the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City: (1) Reliability (β=0.315), (2) Communication (β=0,236), (3) Leadership support (β=0.162), (4) Information technology system (β=0,132). One factor suggested in the research model which is Organizational Structure is determined not to affect Knowledge Sharing behavior.
