Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence the personal budget management abilities of An Giang University students. Data were acquired conveniently using a sample size of 250 university students in conjunction with EFA analysis techniques and multivariate regulatory analysis. This study deconstructs personal budget management skills into savings and expenditure management skills. Results indicate that factors such as gender, current residence, part-time employment, financial guidance from parents, participation in courses on financial management skills, and financial knowledge have positive effects on expenditure management skills. In addition, factors such as major diversity, part-time employment, participation in courses on financial management skills, and financial knowledge have effects on savings management skills. On the basis of these findings, a number of suggestions are made for enhancing the budget management skills of An Giang University students.
