Abstract
This study aims to analyze the contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) to the economic growth of Ha Giang province, using the growth accounting method, based on the provincial statistical yearbook data set for the period from 2011 to 2020. The research results show that, of the three factors affecting the growth rate of GRDP in Ha Giang province over the period 2011-2020, the capital growth rate has the highest effect with an average rate of 11.59%; the growth rate of labour increases by 0.12% per year; the average growth rate of TFP is 1.36% per year. Besides, the economic growth of Ha Giang province still depends heavily on the increase of investment capital, with the contribution rate accounting for more than 88%. TFP’s contribution to the province’s GRDP growth in this period is only 10.26%.
