Abstract
Establishing harmonious, stable and progressive industrial relations in enterprise is a major policy of our Party and State. Well-performed industrial relations play an important role in promoting production and business, and contributing to maintaining political and social stability. However, the context of building industrial relations in Vietnam today has changed a lot due to the requirements of deeper international integration. The article focuses on analyzing the inadequacies in the process of building industrial relations in Vietnam according to the tripartite mechanism: the State, Employees and Employers. The data used in the article are mainly secondary data taken from the reports of the ILO, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Some recommendations are made to further improve the industrial relations in Vietnam including completing the legal framework on labor; strengthening the roles of employees and employers.
