Abstract
The Law on Marriage and Family 2014 provides for the first time two property regime of husband and wife: with the agreement or by law. In particular, the legal property regime only applies when the husband and wife do not have an agreement. The Law shows a major change in the ideology of Vietnamese lawmakers, in accoradance with the 2013 Constituon. It has met the needs of socio – economic development and the trend of deep international intergration. However, in the provision and implementation of this regulation, the issue of awareness and unity is still limited because the contents are unclear, lack of transition in legal provisions, limited projection. The article mentions the above contents.
