Abstract
The paper analyses the potential, status, and solutions to tourism development in the Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark. Research results show that this region has great tourism potential with many national landscapes, global geological heritages, and a unique system of cultural – historical heritages. Since this region was recognized as a global geopark, local tourism has strongly developed despite many limitations. However, in order to make tourism a key economic sector of the region, it is necessary to apply a number of solutions including diversifying tourism types and tourism products, promoting people’s participation, enhancing linkages and cooperation between stakeholders, strengthening tourism promotion, speeding up investment in infrastructure, promoting human resource training, and focusing on resources conservation and environmental protection.
