Abstract
The Covered Warrant (CW) is a popular financial product in many stock markets around the world. In the Vietnamese stock market, it is a relatively new product. The Vietnamese CW market has achieved remarkable results since it came into operation, such as a significant increase in the number of CW codes, increasing volumes and values of transactions, attracting foreign capital, etc. However, the trading scale of this product is quite modest compared to the market size, the number of issuers is small and some issuances are unsuccessful. The objective of this article is to analyze the status of CW development in Vietnam. On that basis, the author provides some recommendations to develop the CW market in the near future.
