Abstract
The study aims to anlyse the contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) to economic growth of Thai Nguyen province over a period from 2011 to 2018 by the method of accounting measurement, based on the data from Statistical Yearbook of Thai Nguyen province. The result has shown that the contribution indices of capital (α) and labor (β) are 0.37 and 0.63 respectively. The average economic growth rate of Thai Nguyen during the study period reached 6.36%, in which accumulation stage for capital investment and construction from 2011 to 2013 was -4.93% per year, and exploitation stage for advanced technology projects from 2014 to 2018 was 13.13% per year. In addition, the general contribution of TFP to economic growth of Thai Nguyen during the period of 8 years was 41.61%, lower than the contribution of capital source 10.47%.
