Abstract
The article focuses on clarifying the correct and creative application of Ho Chi Minh’s thought on foreign affairs during the negotiation and signing of the EU – Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). This is the FTA with the largest scope that Viet Nam has ever committed. Based on the evaluation of opportunities and challenges after signing EVFTA, the author proposes 5 issues that need to be addressed in order to implement the commitments and reap the benefits of EVFTA today.
