Factors affecting the acceptance of using solar electricity in aquaculture in the coastal areas of Nam Dinh province, Viet Nam

Abstract

Solar poweris becoming popular around the world and Vietnam. This paper applied technology acceptance model(TAM) by Davis(1989) to analyze the factor saffecting the adoption of solar power systems in aquaculture by farmers in coastal areas in Nam Dinh province. This article used quantitative analysis methods including the use of questionnaires under 5 point Likert scale and the use of technical analysiss oft ware SPSS(Cronbach’s Alpha, EFA, correlation, regression). Results showed that the factors affecting the farmers’ willingness to use solar power involved Reliability (1), Ease of Use (2), Investment Cost (3).
