Abstract
The research examined the factors affecting cash holdings of the construction materials enterprises listed in Vietnam. The sample comprised 210 observations collecting the data of 42 companies from 2010 to 2014. The study revealed that the proportion of cash holdings of the construction materials businesses listed in Vietnam is 12%. The results of the regression model REM showed that those enterprises which have big size of business credit, largescale and high effective operation have higher rate of cash holdings. Those companies having big financial leverage holdlesscash.
