Abstract
Based on the theory of service satisfaction by Parasuraman et al. (1985), this study conducted a survey on 121 students of the Faculty of Economics at Kien Giang University, then used descriptive statistical analysis, reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and multivariate regression analysis. The research results have identified 03 factors that have positive impacts on the intention to choose Phu Quoc of students of the Faculty of Economics at Kien Giang University. They are “destination image”, “attitude” and “subjective norms”. One factor that negatively affects the intention to choose Phu Quoc of students of the Faculty of Economics at Kien Giang University is “control behavior”. From the results of analysis and discussion, the research has proposed a number of solutions to consolidate and improve the application of theory on students’ intention to choose Phu Quoc destination. In particular, it is necessary that local management agencies increase the frequency of visual communication and promotion to Phu Quoc destination to students; food and beverage businesses also need to diversify high-quality services in restaurants to meet the needs of students, to attract and satisfy young tourists coming to Phu Quoc.
